This British Council funded India-UK partnership project aims to design, develop, and pilot test a multidisciplinary teaching module for educating Indian graduate students on ‘Intellectual Property for Sustainability’. Building on the IPACST project’s learnings, the project will integrate domain expertise of partner institutes to teach students new ways of thinking and responsibly dealing with Intellectual Property (IP) for creating positive social and environmental impact rather than just economic growth.
The project will strengthen the India-UK relationship, emphasising educating and imparting knowledge related to managing IP for sustainability to students (future technocrats entrepreneurs, business managers, and policymakers) before entering the workforce rather than later. The project will create learning and employability opportunities for Indian students to build and strengthen the long-term IP workforce and facilitate sustainable development.
