Kunal Thakur is a Policy Analyst at the Centre for Society and Policy, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. He holds a postgraduate degree in Public Policy and Governance from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Delhi.

He is engaged in research related to data governance, privacy, and artificial intelligence. His interests also include science and technology diplomacy, as well as the policy and governance aspects of emerging technologies.
